Welcome to the Cancer Vaccine Center (CVC). We are developing safe and effective vaccines for patients with cancer. The CVC maintains an integrated program of scientific discovery, preclinical vaccine development and clinical investigation. As part of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the CVC is affiliated with Harvard Medical School and Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center.

Tetsuro Sasada, M.D. Ph.D., Director of Immune Assessment
Dr. Sasada directs the immune monitoring of clinical trials and the preclinical development of new vaccines and immunotherapies at the CVC. Having worked as an oncologist and gastroenterological surgeon in Japan, he and his team are establishing state of the art monitoring methods. New technologies are used to measure immune system responses of patients enrolled in clinical trials at DFCI.
